Diagonal Reading Group

Started in 2021, Diagonal examines creative A.I. from a full radius of angles: as a political problem, an industrial tool, a philosophical challenge, a collaborative construction. Diagonal draws Toronto academics, engineers, and creators together to discuss and debate the latest scholarship on machine learning, charting a diagonal path across disciplinary methods and objects. Where possible, readings and discussions are related to public lectures and events.

Reading group meetings are held in person in the BMO Lab (The new location in University College), with remote participation possible over zoom.
